This residential project in Antwerp highlights the extensive interior and structural renovation of a single-family house, transformed to meet the spatial demands of modern family life, blending shared expertise into a highly detailed and cohesive architectural solution.
The driving force behind the design was the creation of an intimate sanctuary that balances domestic warmth with sophisticated minimalism. The original layout was strategically reconfigured to optimize spatial efficiency, removing internal barriers to foster a fluid, open-plan living experience. Throughout the home, custom-tailored joinery and intelligent zoning ensure that the open space remains practical and clutter-free for everyday family use.
A meticulously curated palette of tactile, natural materials complemented by clean geometric lines defines the interior identity, allowing the spaces to feel grounded and serene. Large windows were thoughtfully repositioned to capture changing light patterns throughout the day, washing the shared living areas in soft, natural daylight. The final realization is a timeless family home that seamlessly merges collaborative design precision with the subtle, poetic interplay of light.
